🖍️📚 A Bit of Coloring Book History 🎨✨

The first coloring book in the United States was The Little Folks Painting Book,
published in 1879. It was illustrated by Kate Greenaway
and published by McLoughlin Brothers.

It wasn’t until 1903 that the crayon made its debut!
Before that, a child’s “crayon” was simply a stick of colored clay, chalk, or watercolor. 🪶🎨

Today, coloring books are created for both children and adults,
bringing joy, creativity, and relaxation to people of all ages. 🌈🖍️
