I grew up in Beaver City, Nebraska, a small town in the Midwest. In the 1980s, I moved to Gilbert, Arizona, where life got busy and time seemed to move faster.
Somewhere along the way, I had forgotten the feeling of childlike imagination — until I began reminiscing about the hours spent with our grandson, creating imaginary adventures with brave and curious characters. His eyes would widen with wonder as the stories grew, always adding a touch of his own imagination to each one.
Those special moments inspired me to bring the stories to life as a children’s book series.
